I took inspiration from Mary Blair as she is the one who created the concept art for cinderella in the Disney’s 1950’s animated film. I took inspiration from her design for cinderella specifically cinderella’s ballgown and also her use of colours or the backgrounds.
Studio Ghibli
I took inspiration on studio ghibli films such as ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ and ‘Ponyo’ for the overall anime artstyle of the characters as well as the watercolour texture for the backround as I really like the mix of flat character against a really detailed and texture background which I think studio ghibli does rally well.
